A week ago Levi was diagnosed with cancer. She has a lump on the left side of her tummy. We had noticed this lump growing and decided to take her into the vet to get it checked out. The vet did a biopsy and found out that it was a cancerous lump and had to be removed.
Today Levi went in for surgery. She had the lump removed as well as a few other routine procedures. It took all day. Eric and I were at home on pins and needles as we waited for the surgery to be over with. We finally got to pick her up and she was so out of it. The poor thing took so long to walk out to the car, she didn't know what she was doing.
We have been home for about 4 hours now and she hasn't woken up. She is so tired and in a little bit of pain. She will be taking it easy - no more 3 mile runs - for the next 2-3 weeks.
The lump will be sent to the lab to find out exactly what it is and we will find out in the next couple of days. We love our little girl.
