Bush Park Creek

After a failed hike (bad spot) we decided to go to Bush Park Creek and play in the water. The kids loved it. We built boats and made them float. Tyler played with his cars in the water. It was the perfect weather and we all had a great time. We couldn't stay long because I didn't put sunscreen on them and Tyler needed a nap.

I love taking the kids out in nature!!!

Mason's Birthday Lunch

Boy does this cake have a story!!!! Mason has changed his mind many, many times since we started talking about his birthday. First it was TMNT, Then is was Transformers, then it was superheroes, then it was rescue bots and it kept changing over and over again. I wasn't sure what to make for his birthday cake.

I finally decided to make a generic cake and he can put whatever toys on top that he wants. The morning of his birthday he picked out the color of the frosting and we went to town. I did the decorating and then minutes before the party started I let him put toys on top. He was so happy and that's all that matters.

We played a game or two, had a little BBQ and had a sweet little lunch for my sweet little boy!!!

My Mace-Man!!!

Oh how I love this sweet, caring, loving boy Mason. He makes my heart melt everytime I see his big brown eyes. He loves to give me hugs and kisses. He loves to snuggle with me. He loves to play with superheroes and he is just so wonderful.

Mason takes good care of his little brother, sometimes a little too much. He looks up to his older sister and sometimes she isn't the best influence but he is learning to deal with her. Mason makes us laugh with his funny stories. He has been taking speech therapy and has improved his speech in leaps and bounds. He loves to talk with us and tell us stories. As I take my babies hiking, Mason loves to hold my hand and talk with me the whole way.

How did I get such a handsome young boy to be my son. I am one lucky Mom to have Mason as my little man. He is my little sidekick and I am so proud of him. He is such a smart boy and learns quickly.

When I was taking Mason's pictures, we stopped to look at this cute chipmunk that was on the ground. The chipmunk quickly ran up to me and climbed up my foot and leg. I picked him up and I wasn't sure what to do. He just wanted to sleep in my hands. Mason got to hold him a little. We tried to put little Chippy down but he didn't want to leave us. I called Eric to find out what to do and he did some research. After a few calls back and forth, and some internet searching we decided to keep him till he was ready to go back out on his own.

At that time, ERic walked across the road to our neighbors house to see if they had a little house we could borrow. They recommended we take chippy to Turtle Ridge which is a wildlife animal rescue. So mason and I finished our photo session and drove over to Turtle Ridge.

They looked him over and said that he was quite malnourished and needed a lot of help. HE was still a baby but they were hopeful that he'd make it.

I miss our little chippy. I haven't called to see if he is doing ok, I'm not sure if I want to but I pray that he is. He is so sweet. I just wanted to keep him but its illegal to keep them and I have no idea what to do with him.

Poor Mason was so done after his photos but I absolutely love this time with my kids and I am so glad that I have him as my son!!

Mason Turns 4!!!

We just love our sweet Mason boy. He turned 4 on July 17th and because his birthday fell on a Friday, we celebrated on that day and had a little birthday lunch for him a week later on Saturday. Mason wanted to wake up to balloons and donuts and presents so that is what we did!!

Because Amazon prime day was two days before Mason's birthday we waited until then to find some birthday presents for him. We didn't find any on Amazon but we did get a few good other deals and paid for them to be delivered on his birthday. He loved it!! He opened a few presents and then presents were also dropped off from the mail man throughout the day. He was in heaven waiting for the mailman and seeing packages be dropped off!!!
