Our Trip down to White City / Medford

Last Friday (15th) we packed up the car and headed down to Medford to drop Eric off at the White City VA Hospital. It was a nice drive down there. 5 hours long but full of hills, valleys, trees, sunshine, tons of really pretty stuff to see along the way. We arrived in Medford at around 6m and unloaded the car. Then we went to Walmart and picked up some food.
This was the sign as we entered the Hospital campus. This is a VA Hospital specifically for those War Veterans that are now addicted to drugs or alcohol of some kind. The guys on campus are so respectful to every one.

This was the entrance into the campus

It was really cool to see all the flags flying This is the car we drove down to Medford in. It is a 2008 Toyota Highlander. It got really good gas mileage and was such a smooth, nice ride. I made Eric promise that I could have one when we can afford it. It was such a nice car. I loved driving it!!!

Eric lives in apartment C in a long row of apartments and dormitories. This is the row of apartments that Eric lives in. It reminds me of being on a military base - which is basically what this is. There are tons of buildings like this all in a row with different dorms and departments in each.
These are some of the memorials that were around the campus. It was really cool to read some of them.

this is what was written on that rock.
And, of course, I couldn't forget about my little girl that loved being outside and seeing the ducks in the pond by the golf course. Eric has played tons of golf in the 5 days that he has been there.
It is going to be a tough 2 1/2 months being separated from Eric but it'll be worth it in the end. I love him so much and I am so proud of all the work that he has done.
