Preschool Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Last friday, Alyssa's preschool had a field trip to the EZ Orchards Pumpkin Patch and Apple Farm. It was so fun to go there. I invited my friend Allison and her daughter Mary to come along too. We had a great time.
The first thing we did was go on a hay ride around the farm and then we stopped at the Apple Tree Farm. We learned the correct way to pick an apple so that we can be sure an apple will be produced in the same spot next year. The kids were able to pick their own apple. Mason found a beautiful apple on the ground and was so happy about it.

I tried really hard all day to get a decent picture of these two but to no avail.

After the apple tree farm we headed over to the pumpkin patch and picked some pumpkins. Mason was so so proud of his pumpkin and was so happy to have one. He had a hard time letting it go.
 Alyssa loved her pumpkin too!!

Again, trying to get a picture of the two of them but this is the best I could get.

Then we went through the corn maze. The corn maze had a few things in it to look for. Alyssa was our leader and did a great job getting us through the maze. The first thing we found was this giant tee-pee.
Inside the tee-pee was this swing that Alyssa had fun playing on.
Another landmark in the maze was a large haystack that you could see the whole maze from. It was so neat and the kids loved climbing to the top of it.

This is my friend Allison and her little girl Mary
After the corn maze was the petting zoo and the one rule of the petting zoo was "Don't feed the pigs, they will bite" so what does Mason do, stick his hand in the pigs pen and start pulling on the pigs noses. They didn't bite him but Mason had such a great time playing with the pigs. He was laughing so hard!!

After the petting zoo, we washed our hands and ate donuts and drank some apple cider

After we filled our bellies, the kids had fun running around and playing with the different things on the farm. They had the little tractors that Mason was in love with.
Alyssa had fun roping the cows.
Mason and Mary playing with the tractor. Mason is just a few months older than Mary.
We had a great time at the pumpkin patch. They also had this cute little grocery store which had very good prices and yummy stuff. I have fallen in love with this place and we will likely go back to visit again.
