Mommy's Play Day

Yesterday was our first official weekly Mommy Play Day. This means that I don't clean, do laundry, play on facebook, use my phone for anything other than phone calls or anything of the like. My day is totally 100% dedicated to playing with my kids. They get all my attention and it was great.

It wasn't the perfect day by any means. We had some ups and downs, like anyone does but it was fun and by the end of it, the kids were asking when the next one is.

The hardest part for me was watching the house get messier and messier and not cleaning it up. The best part was having Eric come home and say he doesn't care how messy the house is, as long as the kids were having a great time and getting all that Mommy attention.

So many times throughout the day the kids want to play but I have so much else on my plate, cleaning, cooking, laundry, bills, all that boring stuff and I felt bad. Hopefully this is one way to help the kids know how much I love them!! These are some of the things that we did through out the day!

We did lots of chalk drawings and hop scotch. WE also played in the sand box outside.
We played lots of cars and had them roll down ramps and fly off jumps.

We rolled out the paper and did feet painting.

This is what happened during one such meltdown.

Masons cute foot print.

Then we went inside and made cookies.

Alyssa loves to help feed Tyler!

After lunch we decorated the cookies!

We also went shopping a little bit and played at the park. It was super fun!!
