I can't believe that Alyssa is now 3 weeks old. Last week we went to the doctor and weighed her. She was 6lbs 15oz which is down 7 oz from her birth weight. The doctor wanted me to feed her every 2 and a half hours to try to get her weight up. After a crazy week, we went back to the doctor today and she weighs 7lbs 4 oz so we are getting close. It seems that she is a "slow gainer" but she is doing great.
She also had her blood work done today with a little poke in the foot. It was horrible to watch her in pain and know that I couldn't do anything about it. Hopefully she won't remember this or at least know that I wasn't the one that caused the pain.
We have been neglecting Levi a little bit now that Alyssa is here and requires a lot of attention. So today we took Levi to petsmart and bought her some treats, a new collar and a new tag. Of course she doesn't care about the collar and tag but those treats, well... they hit the spot. And she loved walking around and meeting the other dogs. She especially loved looking at the birds, hamsters, and mice in the small animal section. She could stare at those little creatures all day.
I don't have any new pictures on the computer, they are all on the camera right now but tomorrow when I have a little bit of time I'll upload them and put them on here.
