Today Eric had the day off work so we decided to take a trip to Hagermans and visit the Alligator farm, the State Fish Hatchery and the museum. The trip took about 1.5 hrs to get there and Alyssa did so great in the car. It was our first road trip as a family.
We had lunch at a cute little diner and then headed out to see the Alligators. It wasn't quite what we expected but we did see a lot of lazy alligators with fish swimming around their mouths, not getting eaten!!
Next to the Alligator area there was a little lake and stream with lots of big fish swimming around in it. It was so fun to watch them. There was some HUGE fish... but I guess I didn't know what huge was till.......
...we went to the State Fish Hatchery and saw a 6ft long Sturgeon. It was huge. It was so cool. We bought some fish food and fed the fish there.
At the state fish hatchery you can fish for trout - only 6 trout per person!!
After we were done in Hagerman we decided to travel a little further south to Kimberly Idaho to visit a long time friend who I haven't seen in years. Alyssa wasn't too excited to be back in the car so she played with my cell phone.
It was nice to see and catch up with Stephanie and her cute family. Her youngest little girl, Alexis, is Alyssa's age and they kind of talked to each other. They were quite fascinated with each other. It was so cute to see Alyssa and Alexis interact. Kaitlyn, Steph's oldest, is 2 and is so cute. She was shy but has a gorgeous smile.
Alexis didn't appreciate Alyssa playing with her foot.
We had a great day out. We'll be doing this more often, I hope!!!

Sarah, it was so good to see you as well. Thanks for taking the extra time to come down and see us. Alyssa is such a cutie! We will have to schedule a time to meet up this summer and maybe go to the zoo or something. It was really good to see you.
Wow, Alyssa is getting so big and cuter every day. Your hair cut looks great!!! I can't believe how much Alyssa is growing. She is so smart and strong!! Love you guys tons, and I love seeing your little family grow :)
