Southern Idaho Road Trip

Eric got an extra day off work so we decided to take a road trip across Southern & Central Idaho. We took off and headed for Shoshone Falls near Twin Falls. It was gorgeous there. I love the rainbow that formed with all this water.
This is my favorite picture of the rainbow.
Alyssa and Mommy enjoying the little stream near the falls.
Daddy & Alyssa near the little stream.
Another view of the Falls.
The next destination was to head for Rexburg Idaho. We were going to see Yellowstone Bear World in Rexburg. It was so cool. We were able to feed the bears and elk and we were able to drive through their habitat and see them at our level.
Some of these pictures are a little cloudy because the windows had to be rolled up at all times. That is A-OK with me!!
Some of the wolves in the bear den.
Petting Zoo animals.
On the Curator Tour we were able to feed the elk and deer and especially the bears. It was so fun to see these animals. Alyssa LOVED seeing the animals and was squealing with excitement. She just loves animals!!
This is the first Grizzly Bear that we saw. She lives in the den with her dad and brother.
A few times on the Curator Tour they stopped the truck and called the Bears over so we could feed them. They were so cute sitting their waiting for their food.

My Favorite Bear Picture!!
After the Yellowstone Bear World we headed for the hotel where Alyssa and Eric went swimming. This was Alyssa's first time in a big pool and she loved it.
Just keep swimming, just keep swimming....
After about 3 hours of sleep, Alyssa didn't do real well in the hotel the first night, we headed out to see BYU-Idaho. Formerly known as Ricks College. This was where Eric spent his first year of college.
This is the Rexburg, Idaho Temple.
This is the apartment where Eric lived his first year. The Bunkhouse #11.
After seeing Rexburg, we took off for Sun Valley. We stopped in at Carey for their county fair. It was definately a small town fair. We stayed about 10 minutes and left. A couple hours later we arrived in Sun Valley. We walked around the stores and it is a very resorty kind of feeling to this place. After a late lunch/early dinner we went to the hotel to plan the next day's activities.
This is us just hanging at the hotel with the newest member of our family, Baloo the Bear.
The next day we decided to go paragliding. It was so awesome. This is me waiting to go up in the lift. We went with Fly Sun Valley Paragliding Tandem Flights. They were so awesome to work with and I felt completely safe with them. My pilot was Ryan and he was really good.
Some of the views from the Paraglider.
I have some pictures of Eric's flight but they are on the disposable camera that we bought. We'll put those up later.
This was a very memorable trip and we loved spending time together. The paragliding was incredible. I wasn't nervous at all, Eric was a little but we both LOVED it!!! I would do it again in a heartbeat.
