Day 7 took us to St. Louis which was 1.5 hours away. So in her bag she got a couple new toys to play with on the way down there.
We went to the airport to pick up Aunty Amy and then we headed off to the Magic House. This place is AMAZING!!! They had 4 floors FULL of fun things, activities, learning stations, and much much more for kids of all ages (including us) We spent over 2 hours there and we didn't even get to see it all because we got hungry and had to go and get food. It was so stinking fun. This is Amy and Alyssa at the Water Station
Alyssa dressed up in her smock to keep her dry.
Alyssa climbing through the tunnel
Alyssa going across a rope walk.
Alyssa playing in the sand pit.
More sand playing
After the magic house we headed over to the St. Louis Gateway Arch. Alyssa called this thing the Rainbow.
We paid $10 a person to go up inside and take a ride to the very top. Holy Canoli!!! You sit in a very small space. It looked like the inside of an egg. I wish I took a photo of the inside. You would think that this whole rectangle was the door, but NO!!, just the smaller rectangle that has the number 3 on it and the pictures. You climb in there and you sit on a seat that is crammed next to 4 others. It was so small.
This was all you could see out the window as you were inside.
Amy and I have issues with Claustrophobia so we were trying to keep ourselves busy and not thinking about this tiny confined space we were in. Alyssa had no problem with it. She was just worried about how wierd Aunty Amy and Mommy were behaving.
We kept ourselves occupied with taking wierd photos.
Once we got to the top, it was AMAZING!!! You could see for miles and miles around.
