Christmas Activity Advent Calendar

So, I have been looking at Advent Calendars for a while and haven't found one that I liked and I really didn't want Alyssa having so much junk food. So I've been thinking and thinking and realized that I love having things under the Christmas tree but don't want to have all the gifts under the tree. I decided to have activities under the Christmas Tree instead. Things that we could do each day as a countdown to Christmas.
I thought I was so original in thinking this but realized shortly after that I definately wasn't the only one as my awesome friend, Brooke, had already been doing this for years. So I stole a few of her ideas for activities we'll be doing each day.
First off, I made tags for each day. They are laminated so I can use them for years to come. Then I wrapped items to go with the activities we'll be doing that day and Alyssa will open one each morning until Christmas morning at which time the tree will be reloaded with presents.
These are the tags that I made and laminated - this part took the longest but I won't have to do it again for a while.
This is our tree with the activities wrapped up underneath.

I just love the look of the Tree with presents underneath.

I'll be posting each days activities.

LOVE the idea! My mom does it for the kids only she puts the ideas on slips of paper and then in an advent calendar. She sends me the papers and all the stuff for the activities - the kids LOVE it and so do I. :) I'm sure one day I'll have to do more of the work myself...
