Ever since we moved in this place I've wanted to give Alyssa her own little "Girly" room. She finally graduated to a big girl bed so I thought it was the perfect time for a big girl room. This is her bedroom's "Before" picture. There was a little boy living in this room before we moved in.
This is her bedroom's AFTER picture. We added the chair rail and painted the bottom and trim white and the top half a purple that matched her bed set. The desk and night stand I got from my parents before they moved back to Australia. I sanded them and painted them white for her room.
These shelves are something we've had in her room since she was born. We wanted them back in her room and we love that they all still match.
Alyssa loves her big girl bed and bedroom. Today she asked me to leave so she could play in it all by herself. My little girl is growing up!!
These are butterfly lanterns. I found some on etsy but didn't want to pay what they were asking so I found some paper lanterns online and had someone on etsy cut the butterflies out. It cost me less than 1/4th of what the other people were asking and Alyssa loves them!!
This is her name!! :) I found some fully glittered letters on etsy but again they were $20 per letter and I wasn't about to pay that. I did, however, find someone that would cut the letters out and just send me them without any decorations on them. When I got them, I painted them and put white glitter on them. Again, cost me 1/4th of what the other people were asking.
I found this mirror at a garage sale for $1. It was bright blue but a little elbow grease, some sanding and spray paint and we have a cute little white mirror. The paintings are original Alyssa paintings. She loves loves loves loves to paint so I thought why not. Michaels was having a great sale on their canvas so I bought two and had Alyssa paint in the colors that were going in her room and this is the result. I love it!!
Her original paintings.
These pots and flowers were also on sale at Michaels and she has flowers and butterflies all throughout her bedspread so we went with that them and did these flowers for her bedroom. It's so bright and I love it!
