In the middle of July, a friend of mine and her kids took a nice hike up to the top of Multnomah Falls just east of Portland Oregon. It is an amazing view from the bottom up and from the top down. We hiked up to the very top, more than a mile going almost straight up the hill with lots of switchbacks, lots of stops and lots of water.
When we got to the top, we let the kids play around in the river near the top, but not close to the top of the waterfall so they don't fall over the top. It was so fun and boy were my legs so tired the next day. I carried Tyler almost all the way up and most definately all the way down. Totally worth it!!!
