On Saturday the Cat in the Hat was in Champaign (about 1.5 hours away) so we decided that we would go and see him because Alyssa watches his TV show and loves him. She was smitten by him. We couldn't get a picture of Alyssa looking at the camera because she couldn't stop looking at the Cat. She did give him a high five but that was about as close as she'd get.
It was a fun event, Alyssa got her face painted like a cat. It was the first time she'd ever had her face painted and she wasn't quite sure what to do with it so she wiped it. Oh well. We probably wouldn't do it again because there wasn't a whole lot going on and driving 3 hours round trip was not fun. But it was better than sitting at home.
