Eric asked me "when I was growing up what did I think about being 30"? My reply was, I remember thinking about the year 2000 and that I would be 19 and that was SO OLD. I never thought I would make it to be 19 because I was going to be a kid forever.
Well, on Saturday the big 30 came and hit me in the face. UGH!! How does that happen?
I swear I can see wrinkles when I look in the mirror, time to start buying the anti-wrinkle cream. Does this mean I am middle aged? So many things have been running through my mind but here I am 2 days after turning 30 and I don't feel a wee bit different.
For my birthday my wonderful husband thought it'd be a great idea to buy a cake at the store and buy decorating stuff and let Alyssa decorate the cake. I thought it was awesome and so did Alyssa. She had a great time decorating and eating the cake. These pictures are of Alyssa and Daddy decorating my cake.

For my birthday I got to clean the house while Eric had to work and then after work our wonderful babysitter came to watch Alyssa while Eric and I went out to dinner. We had a great night. I love my little family!!

Happy Birthday Sarah! I am dreading my day as well. But it seems you have survived so far. It looks like you had a great time and your cake looks delicious. You just might have a professional cake decorator on your hands. I am sure Alyssa loved every second of it. Glad you had a great day.
Ok so sweet for the cake, but it looks gross and makes me teeth hurt! ha ha lol!!! WOW 30?! I'm dreading my 30th....ugh!

When I was just a wee little beehive I remember you telling us (i have no idea how it came up) that you thought 28 would be your favorite age. Because you'd both be done with school. And you'd be pregnant with your first lil tyke. This post made me think of that :)
and of course made me miss you :(
