On March 29th, we celebrated Alyssa's Half Birthday. We haven't done this before but Alyssa really wanted a cake and we needed a reason for it. I had been making birthday cakes for other people and she really wanted one. I was so grateful that we had an occasion for Alyssa to have a cake. I'm not sure if we'll make it a tradition but it was fun and Alyssa liked feeling special if just for a small moment!!
We had two candles on the cake that she was dying to blow out, even before we had lit them. 
Target was having a huge 75% off sale a few weeks ago and I got a few things. We decided to give her a small present as part of her half birthday celebration. She loved it. 
As you can tell, and as I have said before, we love this little nugget!
