Spring Break Part 2

Part 2 of our spring break landed us in Lehi, Utah with my side of the family. My parents were arriving from Australia on the Tuesday, we arrived the Sunday before hand. We stayed with Liz and her family - once my parents arrived, it was a full house but it was so nice!! Thanks Liz and family!! Liz was 9 months pregnant at the time. She has since given birth to her sweet baby girl, Tiana Shanti Patel, a couple of days after we left.

The kids had a blast playing with their cousins, Aly and Taj. Alyssa and Aly are just 4 months apart and had a great time doing girly things. We got bubbles and had a great time. Of course, Mason promptly poured his bubbles out but oh well.

Liz and Pesh had recently purchased a large playset to keep the older kids occupied while Liz was busy with baby girl so I helped put it up and the kids loved it. It took a lot longer than we planned and but it was so fun, I love these kind of projects.

Mum and Dad met Tyler for the first time.

We took the kids to Build-a-bear. They all picked their stuffed animal except for Mason who wanted a $3 superhero!!

My parents wanted a day with just me and my kids because we wouldn't be there very long so they took us to the zoo and temple square. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time.

We love these elephants.

Mum ended up losing her bad there but luckily, we were in Utah and most of the time they get handed in. After about 20 minutes, my parents got the bag back from security.

Typically I don't let my kids put their heads in lions mouths but this one, I couldn't resist.

Temple square was beautiful.

We walked around and went up to see the Christus Statue. On the way up the ramp, Alyssa asked if we were going to see Jesus. I said yes. When we got to the top she said "This is just a pretend Jesus, not the real one." Then when we stood by Jesus to get a picture, Alyssa was fascinated with the holes in his feet and Mason said "I'm happy". It was so sweet!!! I love my kids!!

We had a great trip to Utah. We enjoyed most of the trip, except for the speeding ticket I got and the long 26 hour drive, total. Eric wasn't able to make it so I did all the driving. The kids did great and we are thankful for ERic's family for letting us stop in and stay with them for a few nights to help break up the drive.
