During these summer days, it can get quite boring. We invited one of Alyssa's friends over for a play date and we made silly putty. It was fun, slimy and awesome. They played with it for quite a while.
July 4th was an awesome day! We spent the day with friends in Canby. We first went to the Lego store there and bought the kids a few little pieces. It was Mason's first little lego set. Not the big duplos.
Then we went to the fair in Canby and the kids had a great time.

Brooklyn & Alyssa - great friends
Daddy took Alyssa, Mason and Brooklyn on the big monster truck ride and they loved it!! I was worried about letting Brooklyn go because she wasn't my child but her mom had no problem with it.
Ice cream sandwiches after the truck ride.
Waiting for the parade to begin.
Waiting to catch all the candy
That night we had a BBQ with Eric's best friend, Aaron. He was visiting from Idaho while his wife was in Ashland finishing her Master's degree. Then we did fireworks.
Alyssa hated the noise.
Covering her ears and playing with sparklers at the same time is quite difficult!!
Our neighbors try to outdo each other when it comes to fire works. We are the beneficiaries of this as we have a free fire works display right outside our window. I've been practicing getting good fireworks shots this time with my new camera. These are a few of them.
