Our sweet, grumpy, funny, cheeky, noisy, amazing, awesome, handsome little man turned 3 years old a couple weeks ago and I finally got to take him out for his 3 yr pictures.
His 3 yr check up was last week and his stats are
Weight - 36.3 lbs - 90%
Height - 37.5 - 50%
I have myself a stocky little linebacker!! He is so handsome though!!
Mason is the poor middle child and takes full advantage of it!! He is so cheeky and has the cutest, funniest laugh ever. I love to tickle him just to make him laugh!! I could listen to it forever. Mason is so sweet. He loves his little brother, just not when Tyler takes his toys. Tyler could climb all over Mason and Mason wouldn't care. I love watching my two boys play!!! I can't wait for them to be a little older and wrestle and be boys!!!
Mason can be so funny but he can change to a screaming, crying toddler in .06 seconds flat!! His emotions are going crazy right now, but he is sleeping a little more so I think he is growing again. He tests our patients and we are better parents because of him!! He gives the best hugs and loves to snuggle in bed with me. He always asks me to snuggle him when we put him to bed. He is learning to say prayers and doesn't like people to correct him.
He puts up with a lot from his older sister. She can be a little mean to him and he can deal with her really well!!! I'm not sure how this whole sister/brother relationship will work out in the end but I do hear myself saying "Be Nice" a few too many times. Mason is a tough little kid and can give almost as good as he gets. I can't wait for him to really give Alyssa what she deserves some of the time!! She can be the best big sister or the worst and Mason just takes it in stride!!!
We have given Mason the nickname of Mace-Face which was originally given to him by his Aunty Amy. He always has a very serious look on his face, even if he is just resting and not thinking about anything at all. This picture above says it all. Just a serious little fella, just like his daddy, but he can be so hilarious too, just like his daddy!!
Mason loves to run. He is learning to ride his bike but he loves to run. He loves to drive his new powerwheel and his is totally in love with any and all superheroes but his favorite one is Batman!! Hence the batman birthday party!! He has a batman mask that he looks totally adorable in. He used to be into cars but last Thanksgiving we went to my in-laws house and they had a small little superhero toy. Mason instantly fell in love and we haven't looked back. In the 8 months that he has been in love with superheroes he has gone from not knowing anything to knowing more than you'll ever need to know about them. All the characters, all the supervillains, all the female counterparts, all the sidekicks, all the songs, which group they belong to, what color their clothes are, what their strengths and weaknesses are, what their alternate name is. You name it, he knows it. I've learned quite a bit myself too!! I love that he loves them and wants to be Batman when he grows up.
I can't believe how handsome this little guy is. We get comments all the time on how cute he is, and all my other kids. I am one proud mama!!! I am so glad this little guy joined our family. We love him so much and he makes our home a better place to be!! We've made it three years with him and I am looking forward to a million more!! I love you my Mason-Man!!
