So my computer has been acting up and won't allow me to upload photos to it so while we are working on that, I'll update you on everything that has been going on around here - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!
Actually - Alyssa has done a lot of growing and her vocabulary is getting more and more advanced. She has learned the words "I want" and knows what to add to the end of it so all day I hear "I want fruit snacks, I want wiggles, I want cookies, I want Elmo, I want swing outside" So we are trying to teach her to say "please can I have....." which she is good at if you remind her after her fits of "I wants"
She also loves her baby. Her baby doll was given to her by her Aunty Becca, Uncle Troy and cousins Ethan and Landon. She takes that baby everywhere and won't put it down. She threw a fit today in Walmart because I wouldn't let her take it in. Everyone was giving me dirty looks after hearing me tell Alyssa "Baby is in the car, we'll get her later" I guess I should have rephrased that but it is their problem for eves dropping :)
One thing Alyssa has learned, well she learned somehow today was to say "I want Mommy work, and Daddy home" She was mad at me for taking her out of the play area at the mall because we had to leave to go get some more errands done. So she told me a few times that she wanted Daddy home and Mommy work. I told her that this would mean she would go to Day care and she then said "I want Daycare". UGH!!! How does she learn so much and so fast.
She also knows how to get away with anything. All she has to do is give me a sly smile and it makes me laugh. I don't know how I am going to survive with this child. Today she was throwing things in the bathroom and screaming and so I made the mistake of asking her if she wants to go in time out. She enthusiastically said "YES" and I didn't know what to do until she said "I want time out". How do people have more than one of these things they call children??
Eric's job is going well, he is busy and does a great job with his patients. I am trying to figure out my almost two year old and enjoying being with my little girl. We keep tossing up the idea of getting a dog but our good sense gets the better of us and we decided to wait till the kids were a little older.
We love our home, we love our life, we wish we were closer to family but we love our friends here in Springfield, IL.
